Poppies & Roses by Allison Norfolk is closer to magical realism than fantasy. It’s set in WWI and Beauty is a nurse + ambulance driver. (Beauty is always a bad ass.) Beast has been physically damaged in the war and cursed by a hedgewitch. This sweet retelling focuses on the power of emotional healing and transformative love.
